Cisco ISE Architecture Training.

Project Context

The engagement required more than a product walkthrough. The audience needed a structured understanding of Cisco ISE as an identity and access architecture: where it sits in the network, how AAA decisions are made, how certificates and 802.1X affect deployment, and how operations teams should troubleshoot real environments.

The Challenge

Identity infrastructure is difficult because it combines network behavior, security policy, certificate trust, endpoint state and operational discipline. Training had to make these pieces understandable without oversimplifying the architecture.

• Cisco ISE architecture and deployment models.
• Authentication vs authorization and policy set design.
• AAA fundamentals using RADIUS and TACACS+.
• Wired 802.1X flows, endpoints, supplicants and network devices.
• PKI concepts, certificate types and trust requirements.
• Troubleshooting patterns for network and operations teams.

Training Architecture

The training was structured from fundamentals to operational decision-making. Each topic connected product concepts to real deployment implications so participants could understand not only what to configure, but why each architectural choice matters.

My Role

I prepared and delivered the onsite training, explained Cisco ISE architecture, guided the technical narrative, answered stakeholder questions and connected security concepts with operational practice.
