Data & Analytics Architecture
GA4, GTM & Looker Studio Implementation.
A complete measurement architecture for Trendtours Germany, designed to make conversion tracking, marketing performance and executive reporting more reliable.
Project Context
The business needed analytics that could support decisions instead of producing conflicting reports. The work focused on aligning website behavior, event tracking, conversion definitions and executive dashboards into one measurable system.
The Challenge
Analytics problems are usually architecture problems: unclear events, inconsistent tags, missing conversion definitions and dashboards that do not match business questions.
- Standardize conversion tracking across digital touchpoints.
- Define a clean event taxonomy for GA4.
- Use Google Tag Manager to manage tags without fragile one-off scripts.
- Create a data layer strategy for reliable event payloads.
- Build Looker Studio dashboards that translate data into business visibility.
Solution Architecture
The solution connected Google Tag Manager, GA4 and Looker Studio through a structured measurement plan. Events were mapped to business questions, conversions were defined explicitly and dashboards were designed around decision-making rather than vanity metrics.
My Role
I designed the measurement architecture, mapped events and conversions, configured GTM and GA4, supported data layer decisions and created reporting foundations in Looker Studio.
Business Impact
- More reliable conversion tracking.
- Reduced manual reporting work.
- Clearer visibility into funnel and campaign performance.
- Better executive reporting for decision-making.
- A reusable analytics foundation for future optimization.
