ERP & Network Architecture
Odoo Enterprise Network Marketing Platform for Lamess.
Lamess required a custom distributor network platform built on top of Odoo Enterprise. The project combined e-commerce, onboarding, commission management, genealogy visualization, fiscal workflows and a fully custom partner portal designed to support large distributor networks.
Overview
The goal was to create a scalable business platform capable of managing complex compensation plans while preserving the flexibility, reliability and operational depth of Odoo Enterprise.
Lamess, also written Lamèss in accented brand contexts, needed a platform that could connect commercial activity, partner growth, rank progression, payouts and administrative control inside one coherent ERP-centered architecture.
The Challenge
The standard Odoo ecosystem does not provide native support for multi-level distributor structures, genealogy trees, rank progression systems, commission engines or high-volume partner portals.
- Custom referral and sponsor management.
- Network genealogy and downline exploration.
- Dynamic rank calculation and progression rules.
- Multi-level commission engine with monthly settlement logic.
- Wallet, payout, KYC and fiscal validation workflows.
- Italian fiscal process support for commission operations.
- Portal access for thousands of distributors without requiring backend Odoo licenses.
The challenge was not only technical. It required an architecture that could stay maintainable as rules, teams, fiscal requirements and network volume evolved.
Solution Architecture
The solution was designed using a portal-first architecture. Instead of granting backend access to every distributor, a custom portal was developed on top of Odoo Enterprise to reduce licensing pressure and provide a dedicated user experience.
- Odoo Enterprise as the operational ERP core.
- Custom network marketing engine developed in Python.
- OWL frontend components for interactive portal experiences.
- D3.js genealogy visualization for network exploration.
- Materialized path hierarchy model for scalable tree operations.
- PostgreSQL optimization for large genealogy and commission queries.
- Custom commission settlement, wallet and payout workflows.
- Automated fiscal workflow support around partner validation and settlements.
